The 4-Station Rotary Assembly PLC Trainer is a desktop mechatronics training system for learning automated feeding, rotary indexing, pneumatic handling and sequential assembly control. Choose a Siemens S7-1200 or Allen-Bradley Micro850 PLC configuration to match your teaching platform.

External compressed air is required. An air compressor and compressed-air supply are NOT included.

PLC Configuration Options

Option PLC platform Programming environment
Siemens S7-1200 Siemens S7-1200 PLC with I/O configured for the training system Siemens TIA Portal
Allen-Bradley Micro850 Micro850 with 48 onboard I/O points and transistor outputs Connected Components Workbench (CCW)

The final CPU catalog number, output type, I/O allocation and compatible software version will be confirmed before production. The Micro850 option is a CCW training platform; it does not use Studio 5000.

Integrated Assembly Training

  • Four-station rotary table: practice workpiece positioning and coordination between successive process stages.
  • Automatic vibratory feeding: study part feeding, material detection and transfer into the assembly sequence.
  • Pneumatic handling: cylinders, pneumatic grippers and vacuum components demonstrate coordinated pick-and-place and assembly operations.
  • Stepper positioning: learn motion sequencing and positioning within an integrated machine application.
  • Sensor feedback: magnetic, photoelectric, fiber-optic and proximity detection provide practical input signals for PLC exercises.
  • HMI and operator controls: explore operating modes, machine status, process parameters and indicator-light control.
  • Accessible electrical layout: observe PLC connections, drivers, terminal blocks and control wiring.

Suggested Learning Activities

  • PLC I/O identification and signal mapping
  • Ladder logic, timers, counters and sequence programming
  • Manual operation and automatic-cycle development
  • Rotary-table indexing and station interlocks
  • Pneumatic cylinder, gripper and vacuum-control sequencing
  • Missing-part detection, action timeouts and recovery logic
  • HMI operation, commissioning and troubleshooting

Suitable for vocational schools, technical colleges, university mechatronics laboratories and industrial automation training centers.

Air, Power and Order Configuration

  • Air source excluded: the customer must provide clean, regulated compressed air. Required working pressure, flow and connection details will be confirmed for the final configuration.
  • Destination power: specify the required supply voltage, frequency and plug type before production so the complete machine power configuration can be confirmed.
  • Made to order: PLC hardware, HMI language, supplied project files, documentation and delivery schedule are confirmed with the order.

Images illustrate the machine layout and may include an edited PLC configuration example. PLC appearance, wiring and component arrangement vary with the selected version. Final equipment is supplied to the confirmed order specification.
