Hands-on PLC, Motion Control and Mechatronics Training

The VISTON Allen-Bradley Micro850 Conveyor Sorting & Pick-and-Place Trainer brings conveyor transport, workpiece detection, sorting, axis positioning and pneumatic handling into one tabletop teaching system. Designed for vocational schools, college laboratories and industrial training centers, it helps students connect PLC logic and HMI operation with visible machine movements.

Both versions combine an Allen-Bradley Micro850 PLC with stepper, servo and variable-frequency drive training. Micro850 PLC programming uses Connected Components Workbench (CCW).

Version A — Practical Allen-Bradley Training at a Lower Cost

Version A combines the Micro850 PLC with a compatible HMI and VFD while retaining third-party motion hardware. It is suited to courses focused on PLC programming, conveyor sequences, sensor-based sorting, positioning, HMI operation and troubleshooting.

Version B — Allen-Bradley PLC, HMI and VFD

Version B upgrades the HMI to a PanelView 800 and the VFD to a PowerFlex 525. It is suited to schools that want Allen-Bradley hardware for the PLC, operator interface and variable-frequency drive. The stepper and servo systems remain third-party components.

Training Topics

  • PLC digital I/O, timers, counters, sequence logic and interlocks
  • Automatic feeding, conveyor transport and workpiece sorting
  • Stepper positioning, homing and pulse-command servo exercises
  • Pick-and-place sequences and coordination with conveyor operation
  • VFD motor start/stop, direction and speed control
  • Sensor detection, pneumatic actuators and vacuum handling
  • HMI controls, operating modes, parameter entry and machine status
  • Industrial wiring, fault diagnosis and troubleshooting

System Contents

The selected configuration includes the Micro850 PLC, HMI, VFD, stepper and servo drive hardware, conveyor and handling mechanisms, sensors, pneumatic components, operator controls, signal tower, power distribution and terminal wiring. Example PLC/HMI projects and electrical wiring documentation support classroom exercises.

Air compressor not included: Both versions require a compatible external air compressor, which must be purchased separately.

Shipping and Order Configuration

Made to order: Production and delivery timing are confirmed with VISTON Education for your selected configuration.

Shipping follows the destinations and service coverage in our store shipping policy. Import duties and destination taxes are excluded unless expressly included in your quotation.

Please confirm your destination, local voltage and frequency, plug type, compressed-air supply, course requirements and desired delivery date with VISTON Education before ordering. Final component models, motor ratings, communication interfaces, layout and production schedule are confirmed for the selected configuration.

Image reference: The gallery contains edited configuration illustrations and mechanism views. It does not show the complete Version B hardware installation. HMI, drive hardware and layout follow the version selected and the confirmed order specification; worktables and cabinets shown are display furniture.
